KEY DEVELOPMENT PARTNERS
Below is a list of governments, international organizations and foundations that comprise our key development partners.
The Department of Defense HIV/AIDS Prevention Program (DHAPP) through funding from The U.S. President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) was established to train and assist selected foreign militaries in establishing and implementing HIV/AIDS prevention, care, and treatment programs for their military personnel and dependents.
Funds are authorized through grants and cooperative agreements, primarily with non-governmental U.S. organizations and educational institutions, to carry out activities that support HIV/AIDS prevention programs in militaries around the world. Funds are generally limited for direct support of activities conducted outside the United States.
In the Caribbean, PSI-C implements the DHAPP program in Jamaica, Suriname and Trinidad and Tobago in collaboration with the Jamaica Defense Force, Suriname Defence Organization and Trinidad and Tobago Defense Force.
