PSI-Caribbean Head Office 

Head-quartered in Trinidad, the PSI-Caribbean head office has managed the regional program since 2005, across 12 Caribbean Countries. Programs have been implemented in Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Belize, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, St Kitts and Nevis, St Lucia, St Maarten, St Vincent and the Grenadines, Suriname and Trinidad. Specific to Trinidad and Tobago, PSI-Caribbean implements integrated health marketing programmes to respond to key behavioural determinants such as; the ability to use a condom correctly, personal risk perception, concurrent partners, social support for youth or the uptake of voluntary counselling and testing (VCT) and other reproductive health services to serve vulnerable and at-risk populations. Recently programming has been  expanded to include a focus on gender based violence prevention and non-communicable disease prevention. The target groups are:

  • Youth 15-24, as part of our Make It Stop Youth Empowerment Program (Gender Based Violence Prevention)
  • Women 25- 49 (Gender Based Violence Prevention)
  • Youth 10-19 (Non-communicable Disease Prevention)
  • Uniformed Population (UP), males & females in the military service and their families (Sexual and Reproductive Health)
